NEOCornhole Summer 2010 Tournament Championship Video’s

Videos of the NEOCornhole singles championship games.

This is my first attempt at taking video of complete games/matches and editing them.  Is this something the cornhole community would like to see at the big (more National) events?  I doubt the ACO will want me to do it, but some of the other events like the World Championships perhaps.

Also, I’m still learning, I made a video for the doubles finals too, but YouTube rejected it as it was too long (like 18 minutes) and I have no way of going back and breaking it up, so sorry about that.  Anyone interested in a copy of it, let me know.  Or if you know of any sites that will allow me to upload an 18 minute video, post it in the comments please.  Also not sure what happened at the beginning of the first video, some of the wording and transitions didn’t work on the upload to YouTube, oh well.

The 5 airmails in a row between you two was very nice in that 2nd game.. Well done

Cant believe the white side of them bags were sliding like that, must have not been a humid night.

Was actually extremely humid. I’ve found if you put a lot of zip on the “sticky” side, they actually slide better than the colored side. Try it sometime and see if it works, but only in super humid/wet conditions…

    Shoul be renamed to…

    LOL!

    Great video!

I am new to the game and complete matches of good players are exactly what people like me are looking for. There is not a lot of video’s out there so please keep it up. The best video’s I have seen so far are up on YouTube by someone named “melvins6″.

Perhaps having the camera directly behind one of the boards would provide a better angle. It would help if someone could operate the camera to zoom in on the far board when players throw to it.

Stuff like this always helps out new players as we try to figure out how to play this game, I am always looking for tips, and watching the throwing styles of good players. There isn’t a lot of info out there past the very basic of throwing a flat bag and how to stand. Info like hand positioning at the release point and back-swing, and how the pros are holding the bag is nonexistent.

Hey David, thanks for the feedback. I’m working on editing some of the championship matches from the World Championships this past weekend, but the angle is from far away. I’ve found players don’t like me sitting directly behind the boards, in fact at one tournament last weekend they flat out said no. I took video of the event, but I won’t be posting it as it didn’t come out very well. Anyway, I have a very small camera that takes good video, but with limited zoom, so that’s what I have to work with for now.

Understood, I can see how players would not want you standing behind the boards. You weren’t waving one of those over sized foam hands were you?

Keep doing what you can, we appreciate the video’s, and look forward to the posting of the games from the championships.
